Asian PaCIVICS
Season One

 

Asian PaCIVICS is a new television and radio series that features ten artists from the Asian American and Pacific Islander community who have written a song specifically to drive social change. Each has partnered with a grassroots organization in unique ways to support a chosen causes.

Mikara

Central CA electro pop artist and survivor of domestic abuse connects with the Asian Women’s Shelter to end abuse and violence towards women.

Othertones

A pop rock artist based in WI & TN who is working with organizations like the ACLU of TN to combat dangerous and discriminatory legislation.

Soultree

Los Angeles-based singer songwriter/emcee works with UndocuALOE to advocate for undocumented Asian & Pacific Islanders.

Nikbo

“Third Culture Pop” Bay Area artist partnered with Lavender Phoenix, a queer and trans Asian and Pacific Islander organization.

Julie Phan

Seattle-based alt R&B and singer-songwriter who is working with Red Canary Song to protect Asian and migrant sex workers.

Nimo

World-renowned hip hop musician works with Service Space, an incubator of projects that are powered by inner-transformation driven volunteerism.

Super Smack & The P.O.P

Pop rap dancer band based in Phoenix, AZ who is on a mission to register Asian American voters and with AZ AANHPI For Equity Coalition
