Events
We host semi-regular events to showcase a variety of Asian American talent while supporting important causes. Here are some recent programs we’ve hosted:
Rock Against Hate
Hate towards Asian American Pacific Islander Communities has been on the rise during the COID-19 crisis. We partnered up with AsAmNews, AsianAmericanMovies.com, Stop AAPI Hate, and numerous Asian American celebrities and performers to host an event to raise money and awareness over the issue.
In one night, we have over 1,000 people stand up to anti-Asian racism by taking action through donations, signing up for bystander intervention trainings, providing valuable information to crowdsourced documents, and learning more on how to change policy and systems to protect our communities.
APIA Voice!
During the 2020 election, we partnered with organizations to get people to register to vote and get counted for the census. The event featured Asian American authors, musicians, filmmakers, poets, and elected officials, all working together for an incredible evening of inspiration.
The 285° FESTIVAL
The Winter Solstice is traditionally celebrated as the Dōngzhì Festival (or "the extreme of winter") and is one of the most important celebrations for many East Asians, including the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese. This event combines the work of musicians, poets, dancers, and filmmakers to demonstrate the power and beauty of the arts, while honoring that tradition.
